About Your Newborn Session……….
We provisionally book your sessions into our diary based on your due date – the best time to book your session with us is during your pregnancy (after your 20 week scan) that way we can guarantee a session slot soon after your baby arrives. We will always do our best to fit you in if you have not pre-booked a session but we can’t always guarantee session availability.
Newborn sessions are best done within the first 6-14 days of baby being born, before they become too alert and uncurl; they can of course still be booked up until 3-4 weeks old but we will need to allow a little more time just in case baby needs a little more time to settle
We have a fully set up newborn studio that is nice and warm and fully equipped. We supply all of the headbands, hats, blankets and props but if there is something specific you would like photographed or used please bring it along…..Oh and we provide plenty of tea and coffee too! Also – bring along lunch/snacks for yourselves during the session (or there is shop 2 doors away)
Session Length: A typical Newborn session takes around 2-3 hours . This is due to the fact the whole session is baby led. We do not rush any of our images as your baby’s comfort and safety are most important to us. You’ll be pleased to know that time passes very quickly in the studio and we have plenty of tea and coffee and WI-FI too if you would like to use it.
We do recommend not making any plans the day of your shoot just in case and we also recommend coming with just baby (and maybe dad too if he doesn’t mind hanging around!)
We are proud to be a member of the Baby and Newborn Photography Association (BANPAS). They are an organisation whose members are amongst the UK’s leading baby and newborn photographers. The Association promotes safe working practices and are dedicated to ensuring your baby’s comfort and safety takes priority whilst members create beautiful images for you to treasure.
If you have any questions or need any further information before your session please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone or email to discuss.
