About our Newborn Photography
Taking photographs of newborn babies is such an incredibly special and important job – these photographs will be your forever memories of such a short and fleeting time with your new baby.
We have specialised in photographing newborns for over 10 years now and have photographed hundreds of new babies and their families.
We encourage you to book as soon as possible during your pregnancy to secure a slot for a photo session – ideally sometime after your 20 week scan.
Newborns are ideally photographed in the first couple of weeks but we have photographed many newborns beyond this as well.
Don’t worry if your baby has already arrived or your due date is approaching – just get in touch and we will happy to help.
All Sessions Include:
- Skilled & experienced newborn photographer
- Use of props, blankets, hairbands and hats
- Skilled posing and handling of your new baby
- Sibling images
- Parent and family images
- 2-3 Hour session
When should I book my session?
We recommend booking your session after your 20 week scan – we schedule our diary with newborn due dates and then book your actual photo shoot date once baby arrives.
If your little one has already arrived get in touch as soon as possible and we can check our diary for available sessions.
We try and photograph newborns in the first 2 weeks as this is when they are at their most curly and sleepy, and of course captures them when they are tiny and new. We can also still photograph them at 3 and 4 weeks old so please just get in touch to discuss your requirements.
What happens at the session?
Our newborn session are completely baby led and we allow plenty of time to be able to stop for feeds and cuddles in between. We want you to enjoy the experience so the studio is a relaxed and inviting space and we provide tea, coffee and biscuits for you to enjoy too!
We typically allow 2-3 hours for a newborn session which gives us enough time to capture the new baby as well as family and sibling images if you want them – we would always encourage you to have just a few 🙂

What happens after the session?
Two weeks after your session you will be given details of how you can view your images on a secure online gallery. Â The images will be full resolution for you to download them multiple times to multiple devices (we always suggest making plenty of copies)
